As you may know, we have started an outreach to the poor and plan on launching a new church in North Miami, Florida, for the 147,600 non-church going people who work and live around the North Miami area. We are so excited about this new church and want to give you the opportunity to be a part of this mission by supporting me and my family financially over the next couple years.
As missionaries to Miami, we are starting from scratch by first serving our community with unconditional love. We are laying inroads with our outreach to the poor. One thing we do is on Saturday mornings, we feed the homeless a high calorie breakfast of biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage and hashbrowns, which is fast becoming a favorite meal among the homeless we serve. With the expense of running the outreaches along with living expenses, we are asking you to help with our salary for the pre-launch phase and the first couple years of the church.With the main people we are reaching being very poor, we are not expecting to be a self supporting church for a few years. So we are working overtime to raise the support we need.
Before you say yes we’d ask you to:
1. Pray and really seek God for how He wants you to be involved, and
2. Only give if it is above what you already give to your church. We do not want to take anything away from churches who depend on your offerings.
If you pray and God leads you to give, we would be so grateful as you’ll be helping us to have a roof over our heads, food on our table, health insurance, the ability to travel home and see our families once a year and (most importantly) bring Jesus to many in the Miami area.
